Description
Looking for support to get your job search moving? Wondering what the best tools and methods are to find job postings you should be applying for? Tired of scrolling endlessly through Indeed or LinkedIn postings or getting discouraged?
Our Search Support Module will provide you with the tactics, tools, tricks & tips you need to make sure your job search is efficient, productive and positive.
We can’t guarantee success, but we know a few things about how to find postings, how to network skillfully, and how to structure your effort so you are in a good position to compete.

This module is best used when you have completed and polished your professional brand including your resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn page, … and … wait for it…. you’re ready to answer to the classic interview question, “so tell me about yourself”. Once these elements are in place, it’s time to get into grind mode and start applying – and this is what the Search Support Module is designed to support.
Topics covered in the module include:
- “Big picture” view of how to conduct a job search including goal setting and how to frame it in a positive engaging light!
- Review and prioritization of Job Boards and discussion of targeted Networking outreach.
- Deep review of tricks & tips to find relevant and recent/fresh postings.
- Keyword semantic research to identify related job titles to support searches.
- Guidance on search cadence, timing, and the best ‘windows’ for submitting applications.
- Customized “advanced” search queries on Indeed.
- Posting review and scoring to prioritize applications and for downstream analysis of success rates.
Expert input on what roles are appropriate to apply for.
- Spreadsheet tools and practices to track your progress.
- Weekly or bi-weekly check-ins to review progress.
- Brand refinement strategy if needed.
- Interview prep and framing.
- Ad-hoc interview support if and when interviews arise.
- Zoom/MS Teams set-up review and advice.
- Networking strategy – yes, you can waste a lot of time on this if you don’t plan ahead.
- How to find anyone on LinkedIn.
- How to navigate applying to Jobs in different cities, states and geographies.
- text, email, and phone support through the coaching engagement.
- Negotiation support.
- Ongoing encouragement and discussion of any roadblocks and obstacles.
After completing this module, you should either have the skills you need to progress your job search, i.e. “You’ve got this!”, or, if your search is more complex, or taking more time, you can sign-up for additional search support.
This module is best used when:
- You’re clear on the next step in your career journey
- You have a “polished” professional brand (Resume, cover letter template, LinkedIn page, etc.) and can reasonably answer the classic question “So, tell me about yourself”.
- You’re not sure about the tactical, organizational or technical aspects of how to conduct a job search
- You know the details but are having some trouble keeping motivated, self-confidence, or could use some outside accountability/check-ins
- You’d need help finding roles and getting prepared for interviews when they arise
- You hitting some roadblocks, in thinking or otherwise, and need a reality check on how you’re doing (is this normal?).
